Since it's inception on March 14, 1944, the Finderne Fire Department has faithfully served the community as a volunteer organization. We have provided a professional fire and rescue service to the community for over fifty-five years, protecting both the lives and property of more than three thousand homes and businesses. Our fire apparatus responds to over three hundred emergency calls annually.

Currently, our membership consists of thirty-seven active members, all of whom are state certified fire fighters. Each of these members not only dedicates his or her time to responding to emergency calls, but also to the continuous training and maintenance of the equipment of the fire department. In addition, our members attend various schools to update their knowledge of the latest firefighting tactics and techniques, as well as provide the community, schools, and businesses with programs on fire safety awareness.
